I’m annoyed at the number of people not believing in climate change. How can anyone fail to notice the devastating effects of climate change? People are dying, agricultural production is going down, snows on top of the mountains are disappearing, and floods and droughts have now become the norm in different parts of the world. These are just some of the few things to tell us that climate change is real, but it’s appalling to find that some people still think this is a mere talk.

I’m annoyed that some of my very educated friends are unable to see the reality in climate change. They have turned a blind eye to all the atrocities being done to the environment. To them, sustainable development is nothing but a ploy to hamper their development agendas in the name of protecting the environment. It is such kinds of thinking that is making us continue to suffer due to the wanton destruction of the environment.

It is disheartening to witness man’s greed at the expense of the environment. Trees are going down like never before. This is so that the forests can give way to skyscrapers that will be headquarters of different corporations. It is sad to observe that forests which have been around for hundreds of years are brought down without any consideration to their effects on the environment. These do nothing but alter the ecosystem and the result is the further degradation of the environment.

Taking care of the environment and mitigating some of the effects of climate change should be done by every individual. My heart is pained when is see people doing all the wrong things to the environment. I hate to see people oppose the planting of trees, yet they drive cars that emit carbon. I hate to see people destroy nature yet they fly in planes that emit carbon. My question is, where do you think the emitted carbon by your vehicle or the plane you travel in will be absorbed. I’m annoyed with everyone who is dumb about climate change.
